I applied to be a TRAC fellow for a simple reason: I love to write and I love to help others. I was expecting to give a lot to this program and to the students I would work with, but I had no idea just how much I would gain from joining the TRAC program. I now think about writing in a completely new, refreshing way thanks to the people I have met through TRAC. I learn from each student I work with, and from each fellow I interact with. One of the best benefits of being a fellow is being exposed to so many other talented writers. I will never forget the seminar class where we all read something we wrote out loud to the rest of the class. Everyone’s writing was beyond powerful; I was completely engaged in their stories. It makes me so happy to be around other people who love writing as much as I do, and I hope that we succeed in spreading that love of writing around to the rest of the student body!
