What does TRAC mean to you?

As a Political Science and Economics major at Lehigh I have witnessed both the value writing can have to a student’s education and how its absence can hinder one’s education. Many academic fields at Lehigh rarely emphasize writing. Papers are formalities, submitted simply for the check-mark at the top of the page. This misfortune leaves students with no motivation to improve. Writing is a constant journey and tragically, I often feel superior ideas are lost to poor writing. The TRAC program emphasizes writing “across curriculums” and strives to help all students become stellar writers. Writing is a necessary skill in the dreaded “real world” especially when applying to Graduate School where it is imperative that one is a proficient writer. I hope to help others become a better writer and become a better writer myself through the TRAC program.
